About Bob Carr
Bob Carr, the author of Raising our Children on Bourbon, has had a multi-faceted career. Prior to The Katrina Flood disaster he wrote for Prime Magazine, of which he and his wife, Jan, were Co-executive Editors and hosted the Bob & Jan Radio Show. For some twenty-five years, he was an executive with International House-World Trade Center of New Orleans, travelling the globe promoting Louisiana trade, the Port of New Orleans and taping for radio, World Voices. But he is best remembered in the region as a 1960s – 70s TV & radio personality appearing with Jan on such shows as Second Cup, Midday, Showcase of Homes, Bob & Jan from The Al Hirt Club (on Bourbon Street), plus various radio programs. His extracurricular passion is architecture, decorating and remodeling homes. The couple has four children and seven grandchildren. They reside in New Orleans.
